I am the owner and principal guide of Paul Kaine's Guided Fishing Tasmania. My family and I are proudly the longest operating professional fly fishing guides to reside full time in Tasmania's Great Lake region.

We provide a diverse range of fishing related services including; Tasmanian fly fishing tours, boat hire in Tasmania, tackle hire, arrangment of fishing lodge accommodation and the manufacture and sale of the original DRIFT STOPPER boat fishing drogue.

Our guiding team is committed to providing local and visiting anglers with an unequalled Tasmanian trout fishing experience. Guides specialise in shore based fishing among shallow highland lake margins, boat based fishing on the larger hydro lakes, wilderness fly fishing adventures to the remote Western Lake region and wade fishing on lowland rivers.

Wading, walking, stalking, boat fishing, tuition, novice or advanced, what ever your requirements we can provide it.

 

 

We offer guiding and tuition for all popular trout fishing methods, fly casting and advanced flyfishing techniques. We are leaders in the use of soft plastic lures and are able to provide an introduction or teach more advanced techniques. All trout fishing equipment is provided as well as wet weathers, waders and tasty gourmet lunches.

Our guided fishing season begins on the first weekend in August and concludes at the end of April. Tasmania's peak fishing months occur between mid November and late April.
